NEW!!!!!  Equine Science Class for Home-Schoolers!!

This new Equine Science curriculum can be modified to accomodate all ages of home-schooled children at any learning level.  Each 2-hour class in the series will include both classroom and hands-on work with horses and may also include special presentations by professionals in many areas of the equine industry.

Choose from a 3-, 6- or 9-week series of classes

The General Equine Science Series
This series of 3 classes will cover the basics of horse care, from the day-to-day responsibilties to the more complex issues that horses can experience.  Included will be topics such as  first aid for injuries and illnesses, diseases to which our equine friends can be susceptible and basic management of the horse.
The Anatomy Series
This 6-week series includes the General Equine Science series as well as more in-depth topics related to the health of the horse.  This series will cover  anatomy/ conformation, nutrition/ digestion and reproduction/ genetics.
The Complete Series
This 9-week series includes the General Equine Science series and the Anatomy series, and will also begin to delve into topics more pertinent to a lifetime of equine partnerships. This series will cover psychology and instincts, careers with horses and basic training techniques.  A complementary riding lesson is also included..
